Life Liaison Program
Answering the call to create a culture of life.
Serving as a pathway for support of Life Decisions, we strive to encounter and accompany others in critical moments of life decision-making, communicating God’s mercy and love through the power of the Holy Spirit. Through spiritual and corporal works of mercy, we seek out and respond to our neighbor, compassionately helping them with resources to meet their material and physical needs.
The Volunteer Life Liaison Pilot Program has been put into place in order to enhance our response to the vulnerable and under-served in our community. It will provide tangible support for at risk, low income and marginalized people connecting them with community resources and other supportive services. Life Liaisons collaborate with individuals, communities and agencies in building up the Culture of Life.
The pastoral outreach extends across 12 counties in the Diocese of Rochester, New York. The program will launch with 20 life liaisons. 10 life liaisons serving the Monroe County area and 10 life liaisons serving the counties of Cayuga, Chemung, Livingston, Ontario, Seneca, Schulyer, Steuben, Tioga, Tompkins, Wayne and Yates.
